I began my legal career early, spending my school holidays working as a filing clerk. After finishing school in Brisbane, I headed west and worked as a jackaroo on a sheep and cattle station in South‑West Queensland for 18 months.
I later moved to the Gold Coast to begin my university studies, completing a Bachelor of Jurisprudence. After graduating, I returned to Brisbane, where I worked as a law clerk while completing my Bachelor of Laws.
Throughout my university years, I maintained my strong connection to the bush by returning to a jackaroo across South‑West Queensland during holidays.
Following university, I was appointed as a Judge’s Associate, based in Rockhampton with the District Court Judge for Central Queensland.
I then continued in the role back in Brisbane, working as an Associate to the then President of the Children’s Court of Queensland and District Court Judge.
